The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran wide receiver Donte Stallworth to a one-year contract.
The wideout sat out last year because he was suspended by the NFL after driving drunk and killing a pedestrian.
The Ravens are looking for help at the wide receiver position, probably the weakest area on the team.
Their entire group of wideouts is free agents, so the team could use Stallworth to replace someone who signs elsewhere.
The Ravens believe Stallworth is past his off-the-field issues and motivated to jumpstart his career.

At the team’s end-of-season news conference, Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti warned of a lockout in 2011.
Bisciotti is concerned that the financial troubles of several owners in the league could lead to such a situation.
The owner said that many teams struggle to stay in the black and the profitability of the league is major concern.
He said a lot of teams can’t re-sign players because they simply don’t have the money available to do so.
Team president Dick Cass assured fans that the Ravens are doing much better than most teams in the league financially.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason is expected to return next season so long as the two sides can agree on a contract.
Mason said that he would likely retire following the team’s disappointing playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Mason, an unrestricted free agent, likely won’t see much interest from other teams given his age.
Then again, because there are so few unrestricted free agents and there is no salary cap, teams might be more willing to give him a nice one or two-year deal.
Mason will certainly want to play for a team that can contend for a Super Bowl as he longs to get a ring.
