The Baltimore Ravens received some good news with regard to their secondary with training camp just two months away.
Cornerbacks Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb are both considered well ahead of schedule in their rehab from serious knee injuries.
Washington was told that he should be ready in time for the start of training camp, easing some worries about the depth of the secondary.
Webb has been working extremely hard in the offseason and could return at some point in training camp.
Both players are expected to play a huge role in the secondary in the upcoming season.

Baltimore Ravens fullback Le’Ron McClain has not yet signed his tender offer and wants a long-term contract.
McClain also wants to have an increased role in the offense, meaning he wants the ball more often.
He is content blocking for Ray Rice and understands he is the lead back, but thinks he has something to bring to the table as well.
There has been no movement toward contract talks, but the Ravens do know the value of McClain.
They placed a high tender on him this offseason to make sure other teams wouldn’t try and sign him away.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran free agent cornerback Travis Fisher to a one-year contract.
The team had Fisher come in for minicamp and liked what they saw out of the veteran corner.
Baltimore is hurting at the position because two of their top cornerbacks tore knee ligaments last season.
The signing of Fisher may mean that veteran Frank Walker is officially out of the picture in Baltimore.
Fisher has spent eight seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is ready to make up for a terribly disappointing 2009 season.
Suggs came into camp out of shape last year and then missed several games with a knee injury.
He did have two big plays in two separate games against the New England Patriots to force fumbles, but otherwise had an oddly quiet season.
The pass rusher said he has put last year behind him and wants to start looking forward to the upcoming season.
Suggs has been a mainstay at the Ravens complex, working out and getting into football shape.

The Baltimore Ravens wrapped up their first offseason minicamp and the team was pleased with the results.
The Ravens got a chance to integrate the new draft picks in with the team’s veterans and see how they meshed together.
It was also a chance to get a look at the upgraded passing attack led by wideouts Anquan Boldin and Donte Stallworth.
Oniel Cousins got significant work at the starting right tackle position because Jared Gaither was sidelined with some type of injury.
Head coach John Harbaugh seemed pleased with what he saw and was happy the rookies got a chance to experience the speed of the NFL.

Baltimore Ravens star safety Ed Reed has undergone a procedure to repair a troublesome hip injury.
Reed missed four games last year because of a bad hip, with those contests coming late in the season.
The safety still hasn’t said for certain that he is returning for the upcoming season, but it seems likely now that he has had a procedure done to repair his hip.
Head coach John Harbaugh said Reed has given him no indication he won’t be back and seems excited for the upcoming season.
Reed is also still dealing with a significant neck injury, which is the real reason why he contemplated retirement.
