Baltimore Ravens linebacker Sergio Kindle said he hopes to be cleared for contact by doctors very soon.
Kindle said he wonders how doctors can clear him though because the only way to find out of if he is ready for contact is to go give it a try.
The linebacker said he will sometimes put a helmet on and bang his head into a wall to see if he can take the jarring blow.
He said he doesn’t care if the Ravens draft more linebackers, saying that competition is a good thing. ( Read More…)

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has signed a three-year contract extension with the team.
The Ravens made a contract extension to Harbaugh one of their top offseason priorities and finally got it done.
He is now signed through the 2014 season and will make about $4 million per year, just under Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin.
Harbaugh guided the Ravens to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons, a first for the franchise. ( Read More…)

The Baltimore Ravens and left tackle Jared Gaither sat down for a meeting that could be described as a chance to clear the air.
The team was unhappy when Gaither reported to training camp significantly lighter, and he then missed the entire season with a back injury.
The Ravens, especially head coach John Harbaugh, have made it clear that Gaither’s work ethic is questionable at times.
However, the team also finally realizes just how much the offensive line was hurt by his absence over the course of an entire season. ( Read More…)

The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed punter Sam Koch to a five-year contract worth around $10 million.
The team has already signed both Billy Cundiff and Koch this offseason, solidifying their kicking game going forward.
Koch might not have the highest average per punt in the league, but few are better at pinning the opposition back against their own end zone.
Head coach John Harbaugh said he felt as if the Ravens had the best punter and holder in the NFL. ( Read More…)

The Baltimore Ravens have fired quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn after just one season with the team.
Zorn and head coach John Harbaugh met for seven hours before the Ravens made the surprising decision.
There were signs of a problem when the Ravens admitted at a news conference that Cam Cameron and Zorn weren’t on the same page with Joe Flacco.
However, that news conference came and went, and it took an entire week before the Ravens pulled the plug on Zorn. ( Read More…)

The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran kicker Billy Cundiff to a five-year contract worth $15 million.
The Ravens signed Cundiff in the middle of last season after kicker Steve Hauscka cost them a couple of games.
Cundiff was then brought back this year but was forced to battle it out with Shayne Graham in training camp.
Cundiff won the job over Graham and went on to have a terrific year, tying the NFL record for most touchbacks in a season. ( Read More…)
