The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Minnesota Vikings All-Pro offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie to a two-year contract.
The Ravens have made it no secret that they are desperate for help along their offensive line and McKinnie provides a veteran presence and depth.
Whether McKinnie has a chance to crack the starting lineup is anyone’s guess, but the Ravens aren’t exactly in love with Michael Oher at left tackle and they have issues on the right side as well.
However, McKinnie was cut by the Vikings for a reason, as the team was not happy about him failing his physical and the condition in which he showed up to training camp. ( Read More…)

The Baltimore Ravens addressed their wide receiver needs by trading a fourth-round draft pick to the Buffalo Bills for veteran Lee Evans.
Evans will essentially replace Derrick Mason, who decided to sign a one-year contract with the New York Jets.
While Evans is not as polished in route running as Mason, he is a much better deep threat.
Quarterback Joe Flacco throws a great deep ball, so the Ravens have made it a priority to get younger and faster at the wide receiver position. ( Read More…)

Quarterback Marc Bulger suddenly announced his retirement, leaving the Baltimore Ravens without a backup to Joe Flacco.
The Ravens were expected to re-sign Bulger after he turned down overtures from other NFL teams.
Bulger really enjoyed his time in Baltimore last year and developed a good relationship with Flacco.
There isn’t much out there in terms of quality backup quarterbacks at this point, but the Ravens aren’t ready to panic. ( Read More…)

The Baltimore Ravens finally got involved with free agency again, re-signing cornerback Chris Carr and bringing in fullback Vonta Leach.
The Ravens signed Carr to a four-year contract that made the cornerback happy and hopeful that it allows him to finish out his NFL career in Baltimore.
It also allows the Ravens to breathe easier now that they have added some depth to their secondary, and they can now move on to addressing other needs.
Leach received a three-year contract that makes him the highest paid fullback in the league and second-highest in NFL history. ( Read More…)
